Siemens bags Rs 608-cr order

Diversified conglomerate Siemens today said its energy unit has bagged an order worth Rs 608 crore from Qatar"s General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) for constructing high voltage cables. - Indo-China border differences can be resolved: Pranab - Ahluwalia Contracts bags four orders worth Rs 242 cr - L&T bags Rs 6,897-cr order from Mahagenco - Alfa Laval India bags Rs 70-cr project - BSNL to improve network along Bangla border - Pratibha Ind bags Rs 150 cr order from DMRC The company"s energy division has received an order worth Rs 608 crore, for complete supply, design, erection, testing and commissioning of high voltage cables, Siemens said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange. The order is to be completed over a period of two years. Siemens is engaged in the businesses of turbines, medical equipment, power plants, automation controls and lighting equipment. Kahrammaa provides electricity and water services. Shares of Siemens were trading at Rs 544, up 2.66 per cent from its previous close on the BSE.
