Spices exports from India will cross the $1-billion mark in the current financial year, according to VJ Kurien, chairman of the Spices Board.

AP sanctions projects worth Rs 3000 cr
The Andhra Pradesh government has sanctioned seven projects that are being set up at the Sri City Special Economic Zone and the APIIC Industrial Park in the state. These projects involve a total investment of around Rs 3,000 crore, according to Busi Sam Bob, Principal Secretary, state industries and commerce department.

Pharma major Orchid Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Ltd has set a target to become a $1-billion (Rs 4,900 crore) company in the next three years, said its managing director K Raghavendra Rao. The company registered an income of Rs 1,191.44 crore in 2008-09.
